Photokina - The Canon Stand: EOS 60D and PowerShot G12 and S95

Photokina is the world's biggest photographic and imaging trade show. It is being held in the Cologne Exhibition Centre, the Kölnmesse, from September 21st to the 26th, and a team from Wex Photographic have travelled to Germany to see what new and exciting products are being announced and on display at Photokina.

For the benefit of any of you that are interested in the Photokina happenings, but didn't want to travel to Germany, weren't able to go to Germany, or, like some of us, had to stay behind and work while your colleagues went to Germany, we will be updating you with all the latest goings-on via the WEX blog and Twitter. What's more, in an exciting new venture for WEX, we will be bringing you a visitor's-eye view of some of the stands and products in the form of WEX TV video clips!

So, keep coming back to the WEX blog and we'll update you with the latest information, news and videos as they come in.

The Canon EOS 60D digital SLR camera

One of the biggest launches of recent months, the Canon EOS 60D has already received plenty of WEX blog space - see here, here and here. That said, we weren't going to pass up an opportunity to hear more about Canon's newest SLR direct from the horses mouth.

In this video the Wex Photographic team at Photokina talk to Richard Shepherd on the Canon stand about the Canon EOS 60D and give Richard the opportunity to show off some of the its best features, including its vari-angle screen, Basic+ functions and 18 million pixel sensor.

The Canon PowerShot S95 and G12

Anticipated for many months, the PowerShot G12 was announced as a successor to the G11 earlier this month. The PowerShot S95 had already bean launched as a replacement for the S90, but the two new PowerShots are clearly closely related, both offering users far more that you might expect from an average compact digital camera, including 720p HD movies.

The Wex Photographic team at Photokina in Cologne spoke to Canon's Richard Trestain about the new PowerShots. In this video Richard extols the virtues of Canon's S95 creative compact camera, and its bigger brother the PowerShot G12.
