The latest flagship camera model from Sony announced at Photokina
The new Sony Alpha 99 Mark II is a 42MP A-mount camera, announced today at Photokina. It’s capable of shooting at 12fps with AF/AE tracking and it comes packing 5-axis image stabilisation for both stills and video. The sensor is a backside-illuminated 35mm full-frame model.
It uses a hybrid AF system, with 79 AF points that work in conjunction with 399 on-sensor AF points.
Sony says the system should be able to acquire focus even in conditions as dim as -4EV.
It’s also able to record 4K footage with full pixel readout, without pixel binning.

Sony says the camera will cost about €3600. More as we get it…
