Are we likely to see Canon cameras adopt an Android OS? Does the new Dual Pixel AF CMOS system have any consequences on image quality? We caught up with David Parry, Product Intelligence Professional at Canon UK, to ask him all of these questions and more.
Following the launch of the EOS 100D and EOS 700D earlier in the year, Canon has now turned its attention to its double-digit DSLR line, announcing a new EOS 70D DSLR.
This morning Canon have launched not one, but two new EOS cameras: the 100D, which is the world’s smallest and lightest DSLR as well as the new entry-to-mid level range 700D.
I am a full time professional wedding photographer. I shoot with a combination of cameras, notably the Fuji X-Pro1 and the 5D range of cameras from Canon. The 5D2 was the first full frame body I owned and I ended up working my way through three of them. So, when the 5D3 was announced I was really quite excited about it.

Bright and early this morning Canon introduced a new beginners-level DSLR to their EOS range, the 650D, as well as 2 new lenses to their line-up – the EF 40mm f2.8 pancake lens and an EF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS lens.

Yesterday I was given the opportunity to play with a Canon EOS-1D X. It was still one of the factory sample camera bodies so I wasn’t allowed to analyze the image or video quality. However, I was able to test out the new controls and experiment with many of the new features and functions.
We’ve located five sample images taken with the brand new Canon EOS 600D, showing what this latest Digital SLR release is capable of. These photos have been shot with a selection of Canon lenses, mostly from their EF-S range of lenses designed specifically for Canon’s APS-C digital sensor cameras.
