Benbo Trekker Mk 3 Kit. Stability linked to versatility and weight are the prime considerations when choosing a tripod. For over 35 years Benbo tripods have offered photographers a unique combination of these factors.
The Benbo Trekker Mk 3 kit consists of the BEN107 Trekker Mk3 tripod, a BEN299 Compact Ball and Socket Head and a BEN503 Carry Bag. More
The tubular aluminium construction of the legs offers the best possible combination of weight and rigidity. Each leg can be independently positioned, made possible by the tripods unique, highly flexible main joint, which enables each leg to swing through a complete 360 degrees (see picture). The centre column can also be swung through 360 degrees, producing a combination that allows the camera to be positioned at almost any point.
Whether used in the standard configuration with a vertical centre column, down at ground level with legs splayed out, or with one of the legs pointing upward finding support from a tree or wall, Benbo tripods can always be relied upon to give complete stability.
All models are constructed from drawn tubing with no internal seams, with the lower tubing having sealed feet, allowing the tripod to be stood in water, mud or snow up to the leg joint.

Unique design offers maximum flexibility
About Me Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Comments about Benbo Trekker Mk 3 Kit:
Once you get used to the unusual design of this tripod it is very easy to use and enables the camera to be positioned at any height from ground level to around six feet, which is ideal from landscape and nature. The legs and central column can be splayed at any angle and quickly locked into position whilst the ball and socket head makes final adjustment very quick and easy.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Solid construction & infinitely variable
This provides almost infinite variety of position even though initially it can be awkward to adjust. Consider removing a heavy camera before making large adjustments to the main/central hinge. So far I have used it for product photography with good success although a heavy camera/lens is susceptible to vibration at long extensions. I am looking forward to getting more use from this and think it will be a good addition to the kit.

Benbo Trecker Mk3 Kit
Having owned Benbo tripods in the past (Mk 1) I already knew how good Benbo tripods are.Now quite a bit older and just getting back into photography I was pleased to see Benbo now make a lighter more easily portable version in the Trekker, same build quality and functionality as the Mk 1 and 2 but lighter and not flimsy like some other tripods on the market.A superb tripod for use on uneven ground and close up photography, it can even be used for below ground level thanks to the swivelling centre column. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Benbo Trekker Kit.Highly recommended.

The Best Tripod I have ever Had
from Chichester West Sussex
Over many years I have purchased a number of Tripods, all work well for a time but then the leg clamps slacken off so it does not get used. However, with the Benbo I have always wanted one and now I have one I don't know what took me so long to get one. As I have said many time to the children "you only get what you pay for"

Good but requires practice
from Fife, Scotland
Very easy to use as a "normal" tripod. I bought this for macro/low level work as well as normal use.Takes a lot of practice setting up for low level work but once you get there, everything locks up tight. Great for static macro subjects in odd locations. I would be unable to use the Benbo for insect work unless very early in the morning before they woke up.Ball head flimsy but useable.Good product for the cost.
