The Billingham SP40 Shoulder Pad in Tan is designed as an upgrade to the SP15 shoulder pad. The SP40 incorporates foam padding for superior comfort and a hard wearing rubber material replaces the neoprene. The shoulder pad has a specially designed closed cell foam core which enables the pad to mould itself to the wearers shoulder so you can carry it all day long. The traditional Billingham quality is evident through the use of high quality leather for a tough waterproof finish, and durable press-studs. The tan finish is designed to compliment the khaki or green bags with straps up to 38mm wide.

Bought this to replace a rather worn older model. The new one is more discrete, better made and more comfortable and well worth the somewhat high price. If I had to quibble it would have been even better if it was a tad thinner. The Billington Hadley Professional I use it with is a few years old now but like a good wine improves with age.

Purchased to accompany my new Hadley Small bag. Probably not entirely necessary, as the strap of the bag is decently wide, but it's very comfortable, looks cool and you only live once ;-)

As with all Billingham products it is made to the highest standards. It performs very well and is comfortable, should last forever and it matches my bag, but at a fearsome price. Really it should have been included with the bag that I bought it for because even the small bag needs a shoulder pad when fully loaded.
