I wanted a means of preventing background lighting from affecting the rear of the subject directly. I bought these to block light heading forwards, however, the clip attachment means the door sits proud of the end of the reflector by a good half an inch, and does not prevent light going sideways out of this gap.
Product is of solid build, quality materials, and is simple to use.
I do think the current RRP £60+ price tag is a lot considering some stiff card attached to a rod would do the job better. Its still a third of the price of a full Bowens barn door .

Great way to control light. My photography has greatly improved since purchasing and using barn doors. (To me using card clipped onto the lights and improvising just doesn't do it!)
