If you plan to use the Gemini Travel pack, these cables are all but obligatory. Using them was easy enough but the design of the travel pack and the flash-head has made these cables overly complicated..

I have ticked "Would recommend" because for safety reasons, I would not recommend making your own!

I have ordered this cable to give me more options in positioning my lights whilst using the travelpak. To that end I know with total confidence it will fulfil that goal - it's 8m long after all. But [$]-odd. For a cable? For goodness sake. A fair price would be [$]-odd but Bowens know they've got us so can charge pretty much whatever they want.I'd recommend this product because their is no alternative I'm aware of.

It isn't easy to wax lyrical over a cable, but this 8m cable hugely explands the usefulness of the Bowens Travel Pak. The standard cable is short, which is no problem if you are using one light, because you can have the Travel Pak right next to it. But using two lights with standard cables means real limitations for positioning them - it would be difficult, for example, to position a model some distance from the background and light them separately. This 8 metre cable lets you do that and more; I can also clamp a light high off the ground if I need to.

I would have given it 5 stars but for the price. It was worth it to me, but it is expensive.

This cable expands the use of the gemini travel pak with an extra 5m than the standard cable. Quite pricey for what it is but i think its worth it when you are out on shoot.
