Designed specifically for serious birders and naturalists, the ultra close-focus capabilities get you intimate with the details without getting pecked in the head. BaK-4 prisms on select models yield brighter images and better edge sharpness. Extended eye relief reduces eyestrain for eyeglass wearers during long observation periods. They're perfect for the budding nature observer. More

Great budget binos
By Chris P
from Surrey, UK
I've had my set for about a year and half now and have used them in a variety of conditions. The build quality is nice and solid but without being overly heavy. Optically these aren't perfect. There is a bit of chromatic aberration in strong contrast but for the money this is perfectly acceptable and the image can be nice and sharp if you set the focus and dioptre correctly. They are quoted as water resistant and seemed okay in the light showed I got caught in but I've not tested them in true rain.I am a glasses user and prefer to keep them on when using the binoculars. With the eye cups in I get a nice clear image with my glasses tight up against them so a mm or two extra eye relief would have been nice. The close focus can be handy but requires a lot of wheel movement once you get close, and again to put it back to a further focus. The provided bag does the job but I don't really use it. As does the strap however I have since swapped this out for an Op/Tech Pro strap as it spreads the load better for longer trips out.The biggest problem with these is the provided objective caps which are like the old smarties lids and just won't stay on. I had bushnell send me a 2nd set and these where actually worse than the originals! In the end I found a perfect solution by Opticron. Their "Opticron 31042 42mm XL OG fits outer dias. 53mm ~ 55mm" covers fit perfectly and hang down when not in use. Sadly WEX don't seem to stock these but mine where not expensive. The provide eye cup cover is perfectly fine.Overall I would recommend these to some one either looking for a first pair or on a budget. Just factor in the extra for a better set of caps.
Enjoyed using them at Easter.

About Me Avid Adventurer
Good all round binoculars. Excellent image quality and value for money.Covers for objective lenses very loose, but a minor fault.
spot on bins for birdwatching and nature
good bins for the price but lense caps are a pain,I use them for bird watching and nature in general, would not be without them when i'm out and about.
About Me Photo Enthusiast
Troublesome lens caps and poor strap an irritation more than a problem
Excellent value for the money
Decided to upgrade from my Nikon Travelite V 12 x 25 and after reading numerous reviews decided on these. They are excellent value for money only let down by the poor objective lens covers which fall off far to easily. Have now obtained a pair of Swarovski EL42 objective lens covers from South West Optics Ltd of Truro for the bargain price of £6.99 and they fit perfectly. I have still rated them as 5 Stars despite this problem as the binoculars themselves are superb.
I take these everywhere

About Me Casual Photographer
Excellent for bird watching and wildlife in general. The lens covers do fall off very easily. With so many of these comments why hasn't Bushnell done anything about it?

No disappointment here
binoculars are a good weight for long term use. find them extremely clear and very good in low light situations.only down side (which i was aware of before buying)is the object lens caps which are hopeless. they drop off far too easily. that apart, i would have no hesitation in recommending these binoculars to anyone else.
