Canon 10x42 IS WP Binoculars main features:

Raising optical performance standards, the binoculars feature 2 Ultra-low Dispersion glass (UD) lens elements on each side.
Developed by Canon, these elements are effective in eliminating chromatic aberration - the rainbow-like distortion that affects lesser quality binoculars. The result is super bright, high contrast, 10x magnification viewing clarity.

To suppress vibrations caused by viewing hand-held, on moving vehicles or boats, the 10x42L IS WP binoculars include Canon's Vari-Angle Prism (VAP) Image Stabiliser (IS) - Tiny gyros detect the slightest movement and the IS system acts to remove any image blur.

Comments about Canon 10x42L IS Water Proof Binoculars:

I bought these binoculars for work and for gazing at the stars. I haven't had clear skies yet but for day and night scenery viewing these are the best binoculars I have ever used. The clarity of the view they give is amazing. The best review I read before buying these said that for bushes a few metres away it felt like flying through when adjusting the focus. This isn't far off the truth.
My hands have always had a very minor shake, especially when I've been exercising and the image stabilisation copes with this to give a perfectly still image whilst panning perfectly with no jerkiness.
They are quite heavy but they are ruberised, tough feeling and look waterproof, even though I won't test that immediately!
Great binoculars - I havn't looked through better at this magnification.
