I wanted to use a permanent lens protector on my SX40 so had to buy this expensive adaptor only to find that the instructions say that using the built-in flash with adapter fitted may result in vignetting. Also you may only use one filter at a time as "multiple filters or items such as a heavy lens" may damage the camera or adaptor - so presumably no lens hoods either.
If you already have 67mm filters and want to use them you will have to buy this adaptor, if not think carefully about the cost of this on top of the cost of filters.
