The Canon BG-E9 Battery Grip is a battery/vertical control grip for the Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera. As well as allowing 2 LP-E6 lithium ion batteries to be used simultaneously, it is also supplied with an adapter that enables the use of standard AA batteries. In addition, the BG-E9 features a shutter button, control dial, AE/FE Lock, exposure compensation and AF point selection buttons for use in the vertical/portrait orientation.

I now have 5 bodies, 3FF and 2 60Ds, all with grips. Unless you have small hands or are always on a tripod I fail to understand why you would not want a grip. Like going for a walk with no shoes on.

This product was a delight, and a very much needed addition to my kit. The grip does look a little bulky, but once I had it on the camera it looked great and after a first shoot with it, felt no difference at all! This product is great as it will allow me the easy of access to prolonged shoots as it can hold 2 battery's as well as the additional holder that will take AA batteries, gives any photographer that peace of mind! It does however make the camera that much more larger (expensive) looking, this always troubled me depending on where I am shooting, so just something to be aware of. Anyways as stated its a great addition to any camera lovers kit... Now I'm away to save up for next months purchase, costly business
