At first glance these cases seem excellent - the styling is nice, they look secure, and they can be taken as carry-on luggage on aircraft. Internally the provided foam inserts / dividers organise and protect your gear quite well.

Unfortunately the build quality is not very good - rivets and corner brackets come loose, the thin panels easily get dented and warped, and after a couple of airline trips the cases start to disintegrate. The locks can be easily opened with a pen-knife, so offer little security.

You can get a much stronger case by going to your local B&Q and getting one of their tool cases, which are made of strong plywood covered with a thin sheet of aluminium, and have internal dividers. They are much cheaper and much more strongly made than these Clubman cases.

I was looking for replacement foam insert for an old Aluminum case, the Clubman was not much more in price.
Very pleased with build and style. Bear in mind it is not designed as a seat but a kit-carrying case that offers impact and weather protection and it does that well.
In this model I have used the die-cut foam to house a Nikon D300 + 18-200VR lens, Sigma 75-300mm and 105mm macro lenses, Sigma EF530super Flash gun; and a Canon 350D+10-22mm. And odd pockets for filters etc.
