About Me Semi-pro Photographer
Comments about Colorama 1.72x11m - Polar White:
Backdrop Roll - great size, delivered promptly. Not too big so will not intrude too much when out and about especially portraits in client homes where space is at a premium.

useful size colorama
By Victoria B.
About Me Pro Photographer
A very handy medium size Colorama paper, not too big and not too small. Ideal for portraits or photo sessions with 2 or 3 people as it is still a really portable size and weight.
Perfect for it's intended job
About Me Casual Photographer
Perfect for quick photography with no / white background. Strong paper that hasn't damaged yet. Fortunately had someone to create a stand for it but this isn't a negative of the actual product but you will need to think about how it is held up. Needs to be slightly weighted down if it hangs instead of draping it along the floor.
Sturdy, versatile, high quality paper
The paper is very sturdy and convenient for portrait photography. It is rather heavy so you would need a very sturdy background support system. It gives a lovely, seamless effect. The white colour needs sufficient lighting to ensure it stays white and not grey.
Good quality, its white!
About Me Photo Enthusiast
I needed a white backdrop other than the free cheapy muslin you get with a background stand kit as I found awkward to use. So I decided on a paper roll as this is easier to setup than the muslin and in my opinion looks more professional. The paper is a good thickness and looks like it will take a decent amount of foot. traffic.
Will be buying more
from Pontypool, S.Wales
I bought this along with a BG support stand system for portraits. I needed it to be as big as possible whilst also being portable enough to fit into the car. This 1.72m version fits the bill perfectly. The paper itself is very strong and works a treat under the right lighting. It does what it says on the tin. My only gripe is that it would be nice to include some sort of carrying case as I have to keep putting it back into the box which doesn't look the best when dealing with clients.
Colorama white back-drop
from East Anglia
My thanks to earlier reviewers who pointed out that it represents the ideal compromise, as regards width / rolled length. That is, it offers a useful width for a back-drop, without being too wide (and hence a hassle), nor is it too long to fit inside an average car.
Colorama No Drama

This is an excellent product from Colorama, easily transportable for on location photography, not too big and not too small allowing any photographer to have excellent opportunities at the clients area of work/home/business premises...
Perfect size to easily transport
from South London/Surrey
Able to be transported in small car, easy to use and once it becomes dirty just cut off the offending section!!

Excellent Size Backdrop
I've always used either 9ft rolls or half rolls (4.5ft). The 9ft's are a pain to take around in the car, they will just fit in a Golf (I used to be able to manage 3 of them in a mk3 golf, but they'd take up most of the passenger seat as well as be annoying with gear lever). Half rolls are always a bit tight if you shoot a full length standing person. These are the perfect compromise. They easily fit in the car and are a far better width for shooting people on. Plus, inside people's houses, its far easier to set one up, setting up a 9ft in some people's houses is impossible, due to the width restrictions of their rooms and the fact that you need to pull out 9ft of paper to a sweep, so furniture etc. can't be in the way.
