Having mainly used a muslin background for the past 2 years, I can definitely say without hesitation that this is a massive improvement.

It keeps the light, the texture is flawless and it lasts a while before you have to change it due to not ripping all that easily.

I will say, the only thing that I found frustrating is that over the course of the first couple of shoots, it kept unravelling itself but that's probably just me. I have got two heavy duty clamps to hold it in place now.

I also have read a lot of comments about these being unmanageable but I have to disagree. It's a bit heavy, yes, but I'm quite a small-built young girl and I cart mine around all the time. When setting up at a different location, it even fits in my Corsa!

Would definitely recommend. If you're unsure, don't be. Just do it!

Always used Colorama backdrops, for no other reason than they have always been recommended and not heard a bad word against them.

Colorama have been at the top of the game for studio products through out my 30 years of Pro Shooting. Arctic White is THE cleanest reproducible white paper you'll ever encounter. Its tight paper grain and matt surface smoothness allows you to 'get in close' for macro work and yet still not detect the paper surface. A 12ft roll is like a telegraph pole!.....only buy for studio use unless you have a low loader to hand! The 12m length is the ideal size/weight to man handle. TIP: always allow a paper fee in your charges - overheads all adds up.

Have used both black and white Colorama and they are excellent quality. Great for studio use but not the easiest to get around. If you shoot more than once on the same roll your lucky, usually need to use fresh each shoot. Reckon I can get about 15-20 shoots out of a roll.
