The Xtend-a-View Pro is a high quality, durable LCD Sunshade & Viewer made from aluminium, it is anodised black and has a glass lens. It stops problems with glare on the LCD screens that plague every digital camera and allows you to see your LCD screen in bright sunlight or other glare inducing conditions.
It is an absolute 'must have' for every single digital camera owner - even the pro-digital camera users have to review their shots outside sometimes. Available in Standard, WIDE and MINI versions - see the compatability list for which version you need at:

Essential when using add-on lenses such as our EagleEye OpticZoom 5x Telephoto Lens, for Digiscoping ( connecting the digital camera to a scope ) and for Macro work.
Fits most camera LCD's ( using thin adhesive-backed Velcro strips ) - see above for the Wing modified version for the Nikon Coolpix 990/995 and CP4500 range of cameras which has a Support Strut ( Mk2 Wing Bracket or Wing 4500 Bracket required ) instead of using the Velcro method.
The Velcro attaching method is very duarable, easy to remove ( if required to do so ) and does not cause any damage to the camera. It is fitted to the camera body around the perimeter of the LCD screen and not on to the screen itself.
Also available are the range of Xtend-a-Mount Brackets which allow fitting of the Xtend-a-View LCD Sunshade and Viewer to most other camera models without using the Velcro method.
Please note that only the Xtend-a-View Pro VARIABLE version has diopter adjustment.
The lenses fitted to the sunshade / viewer have a 2x magnification. This is necessary so that the eye can focus at such a close distance to the LCD screen, the product would otherwise need to be about 6 ins long, which would be impractical. Because of this slight magnification it does mean that the small pixels that make up the image on the LCD screen become more noticeable, however this obviously does not affect the captured image.
