About Me Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Comments about Fuji 23mm f1.4 XF R Fujinon Lens:
This is typical of all the Fuji lenses, well made and wonderful picture quality. I now have 14mm, 35mm and 60mm lenses to go along with this and they are all good. This lens is great for travel photography on my Fuji X-T1. It's very sharp, well worth the money.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Sharpest lens i have ever used, better than my L lenses.
Great for zone focusing
Essential lens for the Fuji X-T1
About Me Professional
One of the best Fuji lenses for the X system - very sharp even wide open and a joy to use. Equivalent to 35mm on a FF body.
Among The Best
Used in conjunction with Fuji's excellent XF18-55mm zoom, the XF23mm (35mm) will certainly spend most time on the camera (X-Pro1). The photographic world now has another top quality manufacturer.

Lens Test (hand held)
I use this lens alongside the Fuji 14mm and 35mm lenses for landscape photography. The build quality is second to none, its razor sharp and there's little to no distortion. I love the way the aperture ring works to switch auto focus on and off. I think I will be using this lens and the other two Fuji lenses for a good few years to come. Can't think of anything negative to say about any of Fuji's X-mount lenses.

LOve this lens
Love this lens... If you want a 35mm (full frame) this is the lens to get. Using it on x-pro 1 and it's just stunning

A quality lens you can't afford t ignore
By Brian L
The first thing that struck me about this lens was its size. It is even larger than the wide-angle XF 14 mm I recently reviewed. When attached to my Fuji XE-1 it feels a little bulky but solid. Its build quality is excellent with all-metal mounts and a high-grade barrel. The focus ring is nice and smooth. The only let down is a plastic hood, which feels cheap and overly large. One great feature of this lens is the traditional aperture ring on the lens barrel. This allows the photographer to really "connect" with the lens when shooting. It let's you indulge in the process of image creation making for a true photographic experience. Bravo Fuji for going this route!Out of camera image quality is something everyone wants and this lens delivers! Attached to my Fuji XE-1 camera, this lens produces razor sharp, images. I have been fortunate to shoot with some of the best pro grade glass from Canon (L) and can confirm that this Fuji lens is among the best. The resolution is great at 1.4, gets very strong at 2.0, and becomes quite divine between 5.6 and 11. For me, the 23 mm (35mm equiv.) focal length is a real favourite. If I were to choose one focal length to shoot with, this would be it. Not only does it allow you to capture beautiful landscapes and work on documentary photography and streetscapes but you can also take some creative portraits with it.

Expensive but worth it
By Glasgow Stu
This is a high quality 35mm (equivalent) lens in the same style as the fuji 14mm. However the extra 2 stops over the 14mm makes it great for hand held low light photography. Its very very sharp even wide open. On the down side it's a relatively large lens but what would you expect for an F1.4. It now spends more time on my XE-2 than any of my other lenses.
