The Gitzo GM2541 Series 2 Monopod is constructed of 6x carbon fibre tubing, resulting in a very strong (maximum load of 12kg) but lightweight support, weighing only 380g. The 160cm high 4-section leg monopod has a closed length of only 53cm, meaning the Gitzo GM2541 Series 2 monopod is ideal for travel and days out in the field.  More

Gitzo GM2541 Ultra Light Monopod Further Details

The Gitzo GM2541 features the G-Lock leg lock system, where the more weight that is supported, the greater the strength of the lock becomes. The ALR (Anti Leg Rotation) system means that the Gitzo Monopod is quick and easy to operate. A reversible 1/4 or 3/8 inch connection thread means almost all cameras and lenses can be directly attached, and the rubber foot can be replaced by optional spike G1220.129B or G1220.129LB (extra long) for additional stability on softer ground.

Comments about Gitzo GM2541 Ultra Light Monopod:

The new monopod with the leg log is a vast improvement over the previous model. The previous model was a pain to lock the extensions and on one occasion took off the end of a finger as it was difficult to secure.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
