Hahnel HL-E6 Battery (Canon LP-E6)

The Hahnel HL-E6 is an equivalent battery to the Canon LP-E6 for the EOS 5D MK II, 5D MK III, 60D and 7D Digital SLRs. Only the most modern battery technology is used in Hähnel lithium-ion batteries. They are environmentally-friendly, feature a very high energy density and have no memory effect. A builtin microprocessor safeguards the cells by limiting maximum voltage and by protecting against deep discharge, short circuit and overload.

I bought this as a spare for my Canon 5D mk II. This camera is quite heavy on the battery and a spare is needed for a full day's shooting. At half the price of the OEM branded battery, I have been unable to see any difference in performance, and I will be buying another soon

I bought this as a spare battery for my Canon 60D and it works perfectly. You can buy much cheaper 3rd party LP-E6 batteries elsewhere but Hahnel is a recognised brand and it's still way cheaper than the official Canon battery.

The battery I received was rated at 1650mAh rather than 1480mAh as specified in the product specs which was a nice surprise. Hahnel have obviously improved it a little since the original was marketed.
