Comments about Hama Traveller Compact Pro Tripod:
It's not too heavy to carry with the rest of my M43 camera gear: it's easy to set up. The inverting central pole will be very useful on a few occasions, but the instructions which told me how to invert it were wrong - though I finally figured it out!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I would recommend this tripod,

Does exactly what I wanted, nice and lite for carrying around while travelling

Does what it says on the tin!
Obviously this is not the sturdiest tripod in the world but then those are not all that easy to travel around with. This is quite small when folded down and weighs less than most. However it still provides adequate support for a DSLR and long lens for most applications, including long exposures. Overall, a good travelling tripod. It also comes at a competitive price.

solid and portable

About Me Professional
i test cameras for a well know manufacturer. I needed a lightweight and portable tripod to shoot three weeks of night photography sessions . As they are pro consumer cameras, i want to incorporate practical feedback and also good kit to use with them. I have no issues with this tripod. I like it's height (I am 6.1 ft )! . I also want to get really low and shoot up, the unique leg cams really are pretty cool. I want it to be comfortable to carry without gloves , so I like the foam on the legs. Its also very portable and I can fit it inside a bag or small carry on suitcase. Its been around London, Frankfurt and Doha in the last few weeks. The price is fantastic. For a heavy camera such as Canon 5d Classic or D300, it may be a little light , but for mirrorless and 4 /3 units its perfect. Highly recommended

Amazing travelling tripod

About Me Casual user, Getting started, Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Bought this tripod for a recent holiday so not to lug my Manfrotto about whilst walking. After attaching it to my rucksack, it was like the tripod wasn't even there!Despite being lightweight, it is sturdy and can hold my DSLR and lens with ease and you can 'trust' it to hold things steady. You can easily alter the legs to get a level shot on different surfaces, and the locking ball head gives security and creativity at the same time.

Does as is described and what it should do, it does well. As a tripod when travelling or for landscapes when hillwalking it is great, all be it a little heavy. Without the expense of a carbon fibre tripod this is a good product for at a very reasonable cost.

Every time for steady photographyIts light and small making it easy for getting around.I have had no problems with Tripod so far.
Think before you buy
Tripod looks good and appeared to be suitable for the traveler. However, half way through the first day of use, the thread on the cameras plate swivel securing screw stripped and left me unable to continue the day.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Hama traveller compact pro tripod
hello, I've used this product a few times now and i thought it was great.........Until I borrowed a friends more expensive product where it became apparent mine was a bit cheap and cheerful. That aside, so far it's done exactly what I've asked of it and i can't complain. However if it broke, Ild invest in something with a bit more quality!
