The Hitech 85mm Pro Stopper 10 is made from strong CR39 dyed substrate Resin and designed to reduce the amount of light entering the lens by 10 f/stops, allowing you to get creative with long exposures. The effects created by using longer exposures is motion blur on anything that moves such as clouds, waterfalls, seas, people, cars, and rivers. The Pro Stop filer is fitted with a foam gasket perimeter, which creates a seal between the filter holder and lens, ensuring minimum light spillage around the sides.

Comments about Hitech 85mm Pro Stopper 10:
I agree with the first comment to a degree. I have experienced the issue mentioned regarding light leakage however, I have resolved this by ensuring that the filter is in the first slot (nearest the lens) in the Cokin holder. You do also have to make sure that the filter is perfectly center in the holder, this then stops any light entering the lens from around the filter.I do think that the price tag is high for the quality of the filter though and fiddly to get into the perfect position to eliminate light leakage.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Cokin "P" Incompatible
I purchased the 85mm filter on the basis that it would fit in the Cokin "P" filter holder. Be aware however that while the filter will physically fit the holder the gaskit is not thick enough to prevent light leaking through a cut out in the sides filter holder making long exposure work completely futile. I have not been able to resolve this problem myself and will likely have to buy a Hitech holder specifically for it which is rather irritating! The rig I used it on was my Canon 5D MarkII 17-40mm lens. Cokin P filter holder with 77mm adaptor ring.
