I bought these lights for doing videos, mainly blogs and intro videos. Usually involving only one or two poeple. They have worked out very well so far and I am happy with my purchase.

Took a while to assemble but was worth the wait. These lights did the job of product photographs and gave a good, equal light with very little heat. A bit fiddly to move around but they weren't designed for that. Each bulb can be switched independently.

I bought these lights to help illuminate artwork that I was photographing. They have worked well and have provided an even & controllable light source.

However, they are quite poorly manufactured and I don't expect them to last very long. The stands seem to be quite stable at low heights but as soon as you extend them you will need to weigh them down with a sandbag or similar. The lights themselves are plastic & seem quite brittle, especially at the point where they attach to the stands (this where I expect them to fail first). The assembly of the soft-box/reflectors is fairly easy but I did have to look at the instructions the first time. BTW, the instructions are in Jinglish and hard to follow!

If you plan to set these lights up in your studio and leave them assembled then I would recommend them, however if you plan to travel with them or regularly dismantle them then I suspect they will not last.

I have used this kit for a couple of days, but like any body first impressions are very important.
This lights is fairly easy to use, but I do have to warn, that reading the instructions is extremely important before you put the kit together.
To be fair the value of this product, reflects the quality of the material and labor. So do not expect items to fit perfectly.
Overall the lights do there job and for what they are worth they are more than adequate and will get the job done.

Apart from being a little tricky to setup initially, once up and running the lights are very bright and the colour well keyed. The lights replaced some older ones which got broke due to the stands always falling over. These will not suffer the same fate as they are much more sturdier and robust.

I loved these lights and for the money they worked very well. The value was terrific but the stands that they come with were very poor and dangerous. You need weights for the stands. It is a shame that there is no option to change the kit for a better stand
