Silent, solid and lightweight, the Interfit Stellar X Solarlite provides high power, constant halogen lighting at an affordable price. Though perfect for video shooting, the Solarlite is also suitable for still photography. Supplied with INT329 1000 Watt lamps, the Stellar X Solarlite may also be used with the INT328 500 Watt lamp. This twin softbox kit is a good all-round combination for soft lighting effects. Versions of the kit with larger softboxes are also available, for those without space constraints. More

About Me Semi-pro Photographer
Comments about Interfit Stellar X Solarlite Twin Head Small Softb:
I originally bought these as hot lights for portraits, but I've actually found myself using the softboxes with Bowens strobes more than the lights. I have a video project I keep meaning to get underway, and I'm sure there's will pay for themselves. Having said that I've shot still with them and they are a good lighting source if you have a dark enough studio. The problem comes with colour matching. 3200K and 5600K don't mix, and halogen is 3200K. You get a blueish tinge to everything where 3200K falls on 5600K colour matched light. This can be a great effect and one I've used a lot, it's actually one of the reasons I like them. Creatively you can do a lot with halogen bulbs...The construction of the units is sturdy, all metal and no fuss. The construction of the carry cases on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. I've used the softboxes a total of 8 times on one of the storage and carry cases has already come apart. I like the general quality of Interfit softboxes, it's one of the few things they've got right, but this is just taking the mickey. So now I'm left with a soft box kit and not bag to put it in... One massive gripe is the lack of any way to dim these units. There's just an on/off switch, and that's it. 1000 watts glaring at you [or 500 if you buy another bulb] and no way, barring modifiers, to change it.Another is how fiddly the softboxes can be to set up. If I hadn't accidentally bent one of the rods I would have sent this kit back for a refund, but unfortunately I did so I kept it.Would I recommend them, probably not. I'm sure that you could get adjustable and just as powerful lights elsewhere probably for the same cost. Will I use them definitely, I already use them to add an edge to portraits, and for video work..
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Good but over priced
It's a light and not much can go wrong with it, but it's also not that adjustable. Basically it lights and the only way to change that is to change the bulb. That's not easy because grease off your hand will kill the bulb. The softboxs are the best thing about this as they are S-Tytpe fittings, and really well made. The lights are difficult, and can't be adjusted. Their OK, but I have no experience with any other lights of this type..
Included Accessories: 2 heads, power cables, 2 air cushioned light stands, 2 lamps, 2 S type adapter rings, 2 61cm softboxes, carry bag
