When using a battery operated flashgun as a studio light there are usually 2 main considerations: how to mount it and how to trigger it. The Hot shoe and Strobe Flash Trigger Set from Interfit solves both of these. The receiver unit features a hot-shoe which not only offers a convenient mounting method for your flashgun, but also provides the triggering signal. The transmitter unit attaches directly to your camera and a choice of four radio channels will fire the trigger from up to 30m (100 feet) away in an open area. As the name suggests, the Interfit Strobies Hot Shoe and Studio Lighting Radio Trigger Set can also be used to trigger regular studio lights via the P.C. sync socket on the receiver unit, so whether you're using compact flashgun or full sized studio strobes, this Interfit set will do the triggering for you. Comments about Interfit Strobies Hot Shoe and Studio Lighting Radio Trigger Set:
Works well but not 100%, often misses the first time. A little flimsy in construction and range could be better.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Interfit Strobies Hot Shoe and Studio Lighting Rad
from Kent, UK
Very easy to use radio trigger for off camera flash.I have used this with no problems on Canon 580EX and 430EX speedlites as well as Bowens espirit gemini 500 studio lights.Better in some ways than the Canon Speedlite transmitter because it is radio as opposed to infra red and therefore the sender and reciever can work without a direct line of view.
The Stobies kit works very well, despite a slight lack of clarity as to wether or not it would work with my canon speedlight 580.The system seems to work very well, very occasionally a misfire occurs but that could be down to human error, that is not yet identified. The build quality is a little on the flimsy side but can withstand day to day knocks. Battery life seems fine so far.My other main option was the dedicated canon ettl gadget but thats well over £200, so if like me you're familiar enough with manual operation of your flash unit I can't recommend this enough price wise.
So good I am going to order another
This is a really great little gadget - simply slide the transmitter into the camera hotshoe and connect the receiver to the flash unit and away you go. It really couldn't be easier!Very competitive price compared to other radio flash triggers on the market.I am so impressed that I am about to order a second one.
