fazed over review
i was a little fazed reading the first review here as the owner wished this bag had a pocket to carry his lap top.i have to ask ....if you wanted a bag to carry your laptop why did you not buy the 3N1-33 ?Same bag except it has a pocket for your laptop .I migrated to this bag from an early Lowepro which I have, the zippers collapsed after many years of travel abuse so i looked for a change. It was either this bag or a Lowepro Classified AW 200 or 220 or whatever the site deemed to call it.Actually, that is what turned me off the Lowepro, no one had them in stock, a huge price variation, suppliers had incorrect codes, so i figured there was a high risk of getting a fake.i am off to Shanghai to trial this bag in actual use and will write a more comprehensive review when i get back, but so far the bag not only looks tough, but handles great, which is what i wanted, i find no use for the full harness so a sling suits me down to the ground and the big plus is i am able to rip the camera out of the bag on the side rather than going through all the procedures of laying the bag down or juggling the bag with all my bits and pieces falling out on the ground.Someone said they had trouble getting to their lenses from the side, well my recommendation is to put your lenses in a different pocket when you are shooting, preferably in the top.

Ok but not the best
from London, UK
Ok so i bought this as i have a billingham 555 and usually carry everything in there but when i travel it is difficult to carry lots of items as well as personal belongings and be comfortable for a long time. So i bought this Kata bag before a trip to Sri Lanka last november. Good points are that it is strong you can have personal belongs, secruity it pretty good and it can hold a fair bit of kit, My Canon 5d MII a a couple of standard and even my 100-300 sigma fits (with a little shuffle). The bad points for me is, there is no water bottle holder, for hiking up hills long walks or even just travel thats really is needed, because i found myself always holding it in my hand when if there was a pocket on the bag how easy life would be. Also getiing to the equitment, i found i still had to take the bag off unless i was using it as a sling and around 15-20 kgs on a sling is to much and so i found it easier and safer to just take off the bag. Overall it is pretty comfortable but nothing amazing, there are a little tweeks they could of done to make it the best. But will have a look for another bag before i go to Morocco and into the deser because i thought this had everything for my needs but shame to say it didn't
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Wow - it just works
from Edinburgh UK
This review would suit the other two smaller sizes in the seriesI bought this as I wanted my gear in one bag with easy access to the camera itself being the prime reasonA simple clic and pull and your camera is in your handsIt can be a slingback over left or right shoulder or a backpackIt has a rain cover, plenty of storage space with lots of little zippy compartments, good heavy paddingAnd its not obviously a camera bag as it looks like a rucksackAll in all - EXCELLENT
