LaCie CloudBox 100GB Hard Drive

I've been using the cloudbox for a couple of months now, and can't be happier with it. The drive automatically creates a copy of my files on its internal hard drive. Then the data is encrypted and sent to the cloud, where it's always available form anywhere there's an internet connection. I love the concept. It's safe and easy!

This is my first hybrid drive of this kind and I'm very happy with it. The device needs to be setup once, and then the data is automatically copied to the local backup drive and to the cloud. The data is further protected by 128-bit AES encryption and a password. Being able to roll back up to 10 versions and restore deleted files is very convenient. No complaints so far.

I love this CloudBox! Setup was very easy. The device works seamlessly and provides excellent security for my files. The package contains a NAS drive with online backup service, a CD with all necessary software, cables and a power supply. It may seem expensive for 100GB, but it's still cheaper than what other cloud service providers are asking for the same amount of storage as far as I know. And it's more secure with CloudBox (128-bit AES encryption and password protection). I've had my CloudBox for a few months now and I'm loving it!

After having several computer failures over the past couple of years, I've decided to make sure that my most important files will never be lost again. LaCie's CloudBox seemed to be the best option for me, since it's a hybrid of local and cloud storage. The price seemed fair for what it is, so I gave it a try. The setup was very easy, the files are encrypted locally before they are sent to the cloud. CloudBox has been performing seamlessly so far. Actually the more I use it, the more I like it!

It's a compact 100GB NAS drive that's connected to my PC via local network and via internet to the cloud. After the files have been uploaded to the hard drive of the CloudBox they are automatically copied to the cloud. Data can be restored at any time from any machine – all you need is a password, which is also the key to encrypted data. This is a truly reliable and secure solution.

Great unit. I feel my data is very safe now. No matter what happens to my CloudBox, I know I'll always be able to access my files on the cloud. I've been using online backup solutions before, and I do like the concept. But if you backup directly on the cloud the upload time can be very long, whereas with CloudBox it's instant. The backup is saved on the CloudBox locally in a matter of minutes, and then the device encrypts and uploads the data to the cloud. Meanwhile I can disconnect my computer and go. I love it!
