Just what I was looking for to take travelling to NZ & Oz. Very small and neat, does incremental back-ups in less than four minutes with SuperDuper! soft ware (I always delete the provided software, re-format, then use this, It's also excellent).

I've ticked the reliable box although strictly speaking I won't know for a while, as I've only had my Rikikis for a couple of months. But from research they seem as reliable as any other hard drive.

Purchased to use travelling, with new MacBook Pro. I never use the software supplied with these units, since it always seems too inflexible in some way. After formatting for the Mac I used SuperDuper! software to back-up all files, which took 28 minutes for first run, and now takes around 3-5 minutes for subsequent runs using SD's Smart back-up option. This means I can back up at least once a day without hassle, and have access to all files individually rather than in a large, composite back-up file. That said, the Mac's TimeMachine back-up works also, and I use that to cover the whole system once a week.

This drive is very small and neat, with no protuberances to catch on other items in a suitcase. It appears to be tough, it's very quiet and does exactly what I want, however I note from various online reviews that ALL makes of portable drive seem rather prone to failure. I've no particular reason to expect this one to fail, but at this price it's a no-brainer to buy a second unit to cover that eventually, which is what I have done.

When I've had these drives long enough to say, I'll come back and add "reliable" or otherwise to the comments.
