Designed to fit directly to a flashgun (on or off camera) the Ezybox Speed-Lite is a 22cm x 22cm mini softbox which includes removable inner and outer diffusion layers delivering exceptional softness of light from such a small unit. The softbox folds away in the same way as the highly successful Ezybox softbox making it an ultra portable solution for busy photographers.

Comments about Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite Softbox:
I bought this to use at a football tournament that was promising to be very cloudy...And It was very cloudy and gloomy... not ideal for tourney photos. With Team photos with light to dark complexions and shadows,The diffuser allowed me to get features on individual and group photos that were not blown out by a normal flash. The unit fits the flash well and is secured with double elastics.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Easy to use and creates relatively soft light
By The Monk
Bought this to add a little bit of flexibility to my off camera flash setup and I've been using it for about a month now. I was surprised to find that the softbox comes in a robust little pouch which is a nice touch. It does come with some instructions but it is pretty self explanatory to setup. It feels pretty robust and well made and I have no qualms about how long it will last for.It feels very secure once on the flashgun and I've had it outdoors in a breeze with no trouble (I did use a sandbag on the lightstand though). I've used this with flashguns triggered by another flash and not had any issues with them failing to fire due to the receiver being covered but depending on what kind of flash you have this could be an issue. The only issue I have is that the velcro for the outer diffusion panel sticks to everything extremely well and so it can often take my a few attempts to get it to line up properly! It is a fairly small softbox so probably best suited to product photography and head and shoulders portraits but I'm very happy with it overall. A great addition for anybody looking to get more from their flash setup without breaking the bank.
Portable soft box beats direct flash
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this mini softbox performs. Obviously not as effective as a larger unit but for the money and portability there's no reason to complain. My only crtitcism being it's a bit tricky to point the flash upwards because of the fixing straps. Granted this isn't essential as the light firing straight ahead is relatiely soft compared with direct flash. Well pleased with purchase.
So far, so good!
About Me Semi-Professional
Incredibly easy to use as it flips open straight out the bag! And folding away is a cinch.Fitted to a speed light on camera it becomes a little cumbersome, but not unworkable. Better used off camera with the speed light on a stand. Great for doing quick and easy 'mini studio' shots especially of products.

good soft light for on & off camera use
About Me Professional
This is a good product, but is a little fiddly to install on the flash. It's not a very quick product to use, but when installed it does the job, very useful when on location and you need a more controlled output from your flash.

Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite Softbox
I have used this product for wedding and product photography. I am finding it to be a useful accessory on both applications giving good and even illumination. If feels very secure when attached to my Nikon SB600 flash.
Ezy by name, Ezy by nature
I have used this product a few times, mainly for portrait work. When the flash is on the hotshoe it is a fantastic product. Producing a nice, even soft light which really lifts photos. It is very light weight and very easy to set up, demonstrating that it is robust. The only downfall I have found is when using the flash off camera with wireless sync. The Ezybox, when fitted to the flash does tend to cover the IR receiver at the front of my 430 exII. I can get around this by twisting the head completely round, but this can be problematic when using the flash system at the end of a monopod/on a tripod. Otherwise it is a fantastic product.
