I have used this background now at a few different shoots. Ranging from a set up for a family shoot inside someones house, to a commercial shoot in a large hall. I found in total that its easy to pop open, get some lights inside and start shooting. The trouble comes when you have to put the thing away.
I spent around 20 minutes at the family shoot trying to put it away. Its a difficult processed of bending and shaping it, and because of its size, it needs some dedication. Overall great results for high key images, and really simple to get set up really.

Acquired this for a huge family portait shoot at home location. Not knowing what to expect I needed something consistent if they wasn't a suitable working space.

With setup taking less than 5 minutes from bag to shooting and even less time to put away. Don't worry about the putting away part - a couple youtube videos and now I can fold it up in under 10 seconds. Easy!

Shooting with three speedlights on wireless triggers (one in background, one main and one fill/floor) gave consistent results nearly everytime and took only a few adjustments to get right. In partnership with the vinyl train I was able to get full length, sudio quality shots with a very little PP correction. Very impressed and client coulnd't believe the amazing results taken in their own front room.

It is no problem for couples, families of 4 or less but then you start getting the outer frame in the shot when you include more people. If you position group carefully and get your viewpoint right it can be done, but really it is not designed for anymore than a small group.

The ideal backdrop setup for mobile photographers. Producing high key photographs with ease.

Good product, lots of good uses. however I am short and with a bad back so had difficulty folding.

Great bit of kit but it can be a little difficult to get it properly dismantled and folded up to go back in it's bag, even after watching the video on how best to do it. The outer rims that give it it's shape, seem to be made of metal, and they can get a bit of torsion in them and get twisted if you are not careful. It sets up in seconds, and comes apart again just as fast but getting it properly folded takes a bit of careful practice.

Firstly it's very easy to set up. You can be up and running in minutes. It takes up very little space compared with a vinyl train/ stand system.

Folding it up can be a bit tricky at times: particularly if the steel frame inverts itself and it can be very difficult to un-invert it again, but this has happened only once so far. I can now fold it in less than 15s.

Buy good lights: at least 400J units. You can get away with a two light system, but I'd recommend three lights. Seeing as a pair of umbrella light units costs no more that a speedlite you can hardly complain!

It gives great results too- it makes high key work so much simpler. I've never done high key portrait work before (or much portrait for that matter) and after a few hours of playing I was getting great results. Had I had a light meter, I'd have got to grips with it even quicker. Save yourself a lot of time and hassle and buy a light meter, it makes setting up SO much easier and painless.

I have to say I love it.

I've attached two images, one being one of the photos taken with the Hitlite, the second of the unit itself. Please note I used a wide angle lens, so the Hilite looks a lot wider than it is!

This must be the easiest way to get a consistantly good high key background.
Didn't want to spend all that money, but now I have and tried it, it is worth every penny!
Folding it is not for the faint hearted and is much easier with two people until you develop the knack

I bought this when they first came out and was very pleased with it. Within a couple of months the sides and top and bottom had started to bow in, The width in the middle is now about 2 Ft less than the ends, making it almost unusable.[...] I spoke to a salesperson on the Manfrotto stand at last years Focus exibition and was told they would get in touch to sort it out - they didn't. I spoke to the product development manager at this years Focus, and he asked me to email him. I emailed him with details and a photograph of the problem and guess what - he hasn't replied. In short, a great idea that works really well, but doesn't last very long - unless I was unfortunate to have a bad one. [...]

One of the most successful shopping recently,...... Aug. writes well when taking portraits because we have a very clean background. An additional advantage is that the distribution and submission takes us a few minutes and is very simple.
