The Lastolite Off Camera Flash Cord allows you to use a dedicated flashgun up to 3m away from the camera whilst retaining full TTL flash metering. An ideal way to avoid harsh direct light often associated with on camera flash. This version is for Canon DSLR's and compacts with dedicated hot shoe functionality.

Does just what it needs to do.
from London, UK
Unit provides off-camera flash link with camera to a distance of 3m (as described). Unit fits to hot shoe of camera and provides a wired link to flash gun. This unit also clips to a speed-lite stand via a tilt fitted bracket. If 3m isn't enough distance then consider a radio link. 3m wire is quite enough to pack away. The price is excellent for what you get.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Good Value Cord
Does exactly what it claims to do. The only downside and why I've said it's difficult to use is that it's a very tight fit with the flash gun.The construction is fairly robust but a bit agricultural. So all in all a good off camera flash cord for the money but lacking the full refinement and polish I imagine the much more expensive Canon brand one has.
About Me Photo Enthusiast
Contacts are a bit stiff and sharp edges may scratch hotshoe/flash foot, but it works fine and is sturdy enough for purpose.
Cheap way into Off Camera flash work
About Me Casual Photographer
Bought this to work with some speedlights when I wanted to do some off camera flash. Dithered over whether I should get the 3m or a longer cable and wished i'd gone for something longer. Can't criticise the product though, it works exactly as you'd like and seems very well built. If you go for the 3m one, try to remember that it's not as long as you'd think when you're stepping away from the flash with the camera up to your face!
so handy this is my 2nd
from EAST MIDLANDS
now have 2 cameras with flash control from camera. bit of a time saver and if the gun is not easy to get to make life easier. cheaper than going the full wireless option if you don't need the distance. can add on others if you need abit more distance

Good cord. No missed syncs
By Toby Keane Photography
Used this today and it worked fine. No missed syncs. Easy to use. Used it today along with Lastolite 100cm Dual Duty Umbrella and a Lastolite Tilthead with HotshoeOnly negative and why it got 4 Stars is the construction of some of the parts seem to be constructed of weak metals and plastics. Not a problem I guess if you treat it well but you wouldn't want to stand on one of the ends and after a lot of use I would imagine parts would fail.

Does what it says on the tin but...
Just got this through in the post and the quality of the construction leaves a lot to be desired. Although it works fine the plastics are very low grade and also are some of the the metal parts. I haven't used this in the field much yet but I can't see it lasting very long with everyday ware and tear.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Good quality off camera shoe
from East Yorkshire
Bought this with a Lastolite tilt head with hotshoe. One or two reviews mention weak construction? Well, it's not an everyday item in use and it's not a replacement for a dogs lead.Look after your kit and it should serve for many years.Personally, I love it as it gives me scope for alternative and/or additional creative flash.

Longer than I thought it would be and works really well. Does seem a little bit flimsy but that wouldnt put me off buying one again. Has been really useful at weddings and portrait shoots recently, gives alot me control over lighting on the move.
