The Lastolite Off Camera Flash Cord allows you to use a dedicated flashgun up to 3m away from the camera whilst retaining full TTL flash metering. An ideal way to avoid harsh direct light often associated with on camera flash. This version is for Canon DSLR's and compacts with dedicated hot shoe functionality.

Comments about Lastolite Off Camera Flash Cord 3m - Canon Pro:
Bought this to work with some speedlights when I wanted to do some off camera flash. Dithered over whether I should get the 3m or a longer cable and wished i'd gone for something longer. Can't criticise the product though, it works exactly as you'd like and seems very well built. If you go for the 3m one, try to remember that it's not as long as you'd think when you're stepping away from the flash with the camera up to your face!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good cord. No missed syncs

About Me Semi-pro Photographer
Used this today and it worked fine. No missed syncs. Easy to use. Used it today along with Lastolite 100cm Dual Duty Umbrella and a Lastolite Tilthead with HotshoeOnly negative and why it got 4 Stars is the construction of some of the parts seem to be constructed of weak metals and plastics. Not a problem I guess if you treat it well but you wouldn't want to stand on one of the ends and after a lot of use I would imagine parts would fail.

Does what it says on the tin but...
Just got this through in the post and the quality of the construction leaves a lot to be desired. Although it works fine the plastics are very low grade and also are some of the the metal parts. I haven't used this in the field much yet but I can't see it lasting very long with everyday ware and tear.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Good quality off camera shoe
from East Yorkshire
Bought this with a Lastolite tilt head with hotshoe. One or two reviews mention weak construction? Well, it's not an everyday item in use and it's not a replacement for a dogs lead.Look after your kit and it should serve for many years.Personally, I love it as it gives me scope for alternative and/or additional creative flash.
About Me Pro Photographer
Longer than I thought it would be and works really well. Does seem a little bit flimsy but that wouldnt put me off buying one again. Has been really useful at weddings and portrait shoots recently, gives alot me control over lighting on the move.

Retains TTL function
By Blackbird Singing
It's not often I use this cable, but when I need it I'm glad I have it. Most off-camera flash work uses radio triggers, a light-meter and flash-guns in manual mode. However, just occasionally there is the need to retain the TTL relationship between the camera and a remote flash-gun and this cable allows that to happen.
Pro quality build and performance
I bought this to use off camera flash into a brolly in the home. The extra length over the canaon equivalent made it fit the bill almost perfectly.Coupled with a slave on another flash I now have a home studio without too many trailing wires. Well built and reliable with camera functionality retained, this is just about perfect. I'd prefer it to be about 1m longer. This would help keep the cable on the floor, and gaffa taped down to avoid tripping but nothing's perfect in the home.
Long length cord
This cord does exactly what it says it will do, and the only downside is finding a way to keep all the additional cord tidy/constrained when you don't require the full length.
I wanted an off camera ...
I wanted an off camera cord and looked around at various types. I also wanted something a little longer than the norm. The Canon version was quite expensive and for occasional use I couldn't justify the expense. This fitted the bill perfectly. I have used it a couple of times and it works a treat. It is long and I suppose if you wanted to use it close to the camera there is quite a lot of lead left dangling.Overall very happy.
