I am an enthusiast of landscape photography and this "Inspiring professionals" book (although I am not a professional) has helped me to understand how and when to use different filters, mainly NDs and graduated NDs. Very easy to read and with good and simple graphics to understand how to position filters depending on situations and light.

Brilliant book that explains filters and their uses in simple language, with illustrations showing how the filters were placed when taking the image. Highly recommended.

Got this book for inspiration to use a new set of ND Grad filter and to get some pointers.

If you hunt through the Lee web site you can find all the ND Grad pages there and some of the others.

Nice book and easier to read (with glasses) than a web site, but lacks some technical info and some more recent filters (like the big stopper).

In essence this is an excellent small hardback book on landscape photography. Though every reference to filters is to Lee filters this matters little as ND, ND Grad, polarising, warm-up, etc. filters are common to all ësquareí filter makes. Most of the book covers the use of filters in landscape photography and it has many excellent photographs from the UKís best landscape photographers including Waite, Cornish and Noton. I have seen some of the photographs in this book, in other books by these photographers, but never explained in the same way; each photograph has an adjoining sketch of the photograph showing how the filtration was applied.
