The Lowepro Slingshot 302 AW will hold a Pro DSLR or DSLR with a battery grip with attached zoom lens (up to 70-200mm f2.8), 4-6 additional lenses or flash units and accessories (including a point-and-shoot camera), compact tripod or monopod and personal items. It was designed with photojournalists in mind, but is ideal for any photographer who wants a comfortable, capable bag that provides fast access to their gear. The design of the Slingshot system allows you to carry your gear on your back like a rucksack, but easily swing the pack round to the front for quick access like a shoulder bag. Along with a hideaway tripod mount that allows you to secure a tripod or monopod to the side of the bag, the Lowepro Slingshot 302AW also features an All Weather AW Cover, 3 SlipLock attachment loops, built-in microfiber cleaning cloth, dedicated memory card pockets, easy-glide zips and a fully padded main camera compartment with a divider system to accommodate the most popular DSLR models. Comments about Lowepro Slingshot 302 AW:
All the other bags I tried, I felt, were not deep enough for my pro lenses and my D4. This bag proved perfect for my requirments; of a bag small yet deep and with easy access. Absolutely great when I am out for the day landscape hunting.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Big enough to take the kit I need 2 bodies, 4 lenses, flash and all the other bits and bobs
Good for a walk on the wild side
I was after a bag that would hold photo gear for a day trip nature ramble i.e. not too heavy, but with space to hold food, macro lens, filters, etc. It will take a Canon body plus 100-400 lens complete, but this is normally 'out of the bag' ready for use.The bag makes it easy to change lenses quickly and keep them protected. I find the waist belt good for stabilising the bag on faster walks, when not stalking. The bag is a little bulky, but I can't really see how this could be reduced and still offer the required functionality.High standard of workmanship on materials and design.

Uncomfortable and heavy
Too heavy even before filling up with photo gear and the strap is not comfortable at all. Would not buy if I had known.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Semi-pro Photographer
Bought this bag to fit my camera gear and a small telescope for a birding trip.Felt I needed this amount of space but after a few days into the trip I discovered that the sling design essentially distributes the weight of the contents so asymmetrically that it started to affect my back (I've never had any back problems before).I also found the 'sling design' when birding a non starter, as the zips make so much noise that the birds are long gone by the time the camera gets out!I still use it but I don't overload it.I carry my camera over my shoulder which sort of defeats the purpose.6 months after buying it , I 'm looking for a replacement.

I like this bag a lot, a backpack that you don`t have to take off to get to your camera etc.a well made bag for everyday use, when i don`t want to carry a lot of stuff as in my domke bag.
A must have
This style of bag will suit travel and photo-journalists alike, carries a basic working kit allowing fast access when on the move.
Excellent. Does what it says on the tin.
Sufficient room for essential kit with adequate padding to protect items.I use it for travel and its airline friendly as hand luggage. Can be speedily rotated from my back for rapid access to kit.
The ideal bag for the busy photographer
About Me Pro Photographer
This is perfect for carrying two bodies with one attached to a 70-200mm lens.there is still room for more lenses and speedlites. The rain cover is very good and the slingshot is ideal for getting to your gear quickly. Build quality is fantastic and design is great too.

A good bag
from edinburgh scotland
A good bag for general use - comfortable and the hip strap is great when walking distances. I bought this for landscape work because I wanted a bag that gave me access to my gear without having to put it down on wet sandy rocks - it a great alternative to a backpack (good to carry but a pain once you start to shoot) and more comfortable than a hip bag.
