Manfrotto 190CX3 Carbon Fibre Tripod Further Details

One of the core pillars for Manfrotto is design, with the 190 CX3 there has been no exception to this rule. All the locking, lever and main castings have been redesigned to allow not only for a beautiful product, but also granting ergonomic improvements as well as lightness and reliability.

Manfrotto incorporates the new 3-layered rounded 100% FULL CARBON TUBES ( including Central Column for the PRO version) for improved rigidity and lightness.

The 190CX incorporates new angle selector levers that have been designed to improve ergonomics and the overall feel.

The ergonomic locking levers for the legs have been completely redesigned to improve the functionality. They are much easier to operate and become a seamless element of the tripod.

As easy to use as most manfrottos - lots of orientation options, fast to set up. My example does have an in-built level.

Not quite as stable as aluminium legs, but the pay-off of the lighter weight is worth it.

I bought this tripod for the weight benefit, it really is light and folds down to a good size.

The legs are strong and steady with flexible angles, the clips are solid and wont break in the cold.

Unfortunately it lacks a spirit level built in and it could benefit from the Manfrotto Q90 center column, you still the the same low level capabilities but not the same flexibility of angles unless you have a ball head attached.

It is definately worth a buy and a good compromise from the top of the range Manfrotto tripods.
