Comments about Manfrotto 494RC2 Mini Ball Head:
This is another high quality product from the team over at Manfrotto. I wanted a sturdy ball head to mount on top of a Syrp Genie and this does not disappoint. It is of a solid construction and allows for a wide range of motion for all sorts of angles.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Is exactly what I thought it would be
A fine thing to carry instead of a three way head as its both far smaller and quicker to use on my old 500 series tripod. With modern artificial horizons in DSLRs it saves the expense and trouble of buying a more complicated head with a built in spirit level.
