Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Gear Backpack Medium:
I have several camera bags for different purposes. This backpack is perfect for travel, well made and fitted to allow flexible configuration. It happily accommodates my Nikon D750 with medium zoom lens together with a couple of additional lenses, a flashgun and other odds and sods. It will also take my MacBook Air. So far I am very happy with the product.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Hobbyist/Enthusiast, Professional
I got this bag to use for weekend breaks and the like, when for space reasons I'd be taking a compact system, or a single DSLR with just a couple of zooms. So far it's worked well. It holds more that I'd expected it would and the Velcro equipped separators may be easily changed around to suit whatever I choose to take. There's even provision to take a small lightweight tripod. On the minus side, the position and angle of the shoulder straps results in them often trying to slip off the shoulder, as stated in other reviews. A cross-sternum strap would be a useful addition!

Bought this bag on offer but it is well worth the full price. This back pack is very well made, has very thick padding and a rain cover included. It is a good weekend or holiday day bag with a well thought out design and useful pockets. I managed to fit the following in with no problem : 1 x Canon DSLR body with 24-70 F4 attached. One 70-200mm F4 lens. 1 x 50mm lens. 2 x lens hoods. 1 x Speedlight flash, camera battery charger, 1 x remote trigger, 2 camera batteries and the usual manuals and SD Cards, blower and cloths. Even after all that there is still room for more in the front section. There are lots of bags out there that will carry all the above kit but what makes this different is the quality of the brand. This bag won't fall apart after a couple of trips and if I drop it I know the kit inside will be okay because the padding is of a high quality and thick enough to absorb a heavy impact. I wouldn't trust £3k worth of kit inside any other make of bag. Buy once, buy right - highly recommended.

Just right for holiday and travel. It has enough space to take camera body and 2 or 3 lenses and other bits and pieces.

This is a good-value and well-made backpack. Full, I can carry a Nikon D810, SB-800, 20mm f/1.8, 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 VR, a GorillaPod SLR-Zoom with Ballhead, plus spare batteries, card cases, etc. In addition, it will accommodate a MacBook Air (in a felt sleeve) in the front compartment, along with PSU, card reader and mouse in the main compartment. The backpack does not have a bespoke laptop slot; and it will not accommodate anything bigger that a MacBook Air. If you are concerned about security, a small threaded steel tie can be looped through the zip tags (though they are without lock loops). The equipment is safely held in place, and the bag is reasonably unobtrusive. It is a comfortable carry when full, and is ideal for a day of shooting where a 70-200mm f/2.8 or a standard zoom plus a prime is all you need. Realistically, I cannot see anyone paying the original RRP: at the new price, it is well worth considering.
Fits a lot more than you think!
About Me Getting started
I took this bag on holiday with me to the USA. I fitted a Nikon D7100 with 18-105mm attached, a 70-300mm lens, a 105mm Macro lens along with chargers/memory card holders/batteries. It all fit snugly into the main compartments. Bag seems to be well put together and the waterproof cover is useful when caught out!
Watch your shoulders
This is a good backpack for the price. I am a female and not very tall, therefore I find many backpacks are too large and too long. if I filled them up I would be unable to lift them. This is not the case with this backpack. I can fit a Nikon D7100 with 70-300mm lens attached, ( or a 70-200mm) plus a 17-70mm and panasonic GH3 body plus 2 micro four thirds zoom lenses and attach a Mefotto backpacker tripod. There are several areas for storage of flilters etc.The problem comes when you are carrying the backpack with a tripod attached that there is no clips to connect the two straps which appear to be a chest strap. Hence the shoulder strap on the tripod side will keep sliding off your shoulder.I have contacted Manfrotto but they do not do spares for bags and backpacks at the moment. A little bit of a let down for there customer service department. Did not even offer any alternatives.
I would recommend this product
