The Manfrotto MKC3-P02 Compact Tripod is the most compact full size support in the market. The five section legs and the unique reversible column provide maximum compactness for storage and transportation, and yet, when fully extended it is a full size tripod with no compromise on height. The quick action intuitive ball head allows you to simply and quickly set the position of your camera in any situation so you don't lose the right moment.

Comments about Manfrotto MKC3-P02 Compact Tripod - Grey:
I bought this to fit in the Manfrotto Unica bag which it does. It is light weight and once erected fairly stable. It comes with a ball head and on a firm surface and no wind is pretty good. I think you would need a sturdier tripod if it was windy but for travel seems pretty good. The base plate is not the standard base plate for larger manfrotto tripods.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent Traveller's Tripod
I bought this to replace an ageing but damaged tripod after I had dropped it. This Manfrotto is truly excellent , lightweight, versatile with easy controls. It comes with a quick release head and the bonus is the way the centre stem reverses for packing into a really compact assembly ideal for travelling with only a small case. Ok so its not carbon fibre but it feels sturdy for such a light weight and as I only use Compact System Cameras it is ideal and fully complements the system. It is also extremely good value for money and the service from WEX was also excellent.

Super light and compact
About Me Professional
This is a great little tripod to take along "just in case" or when travelling very light. It's really too lightweight for a professional DSLR with anything other than a very compact lens attached, and then only with the first leg sections extended. But, provided no wind and used with care it can help out when you need stability for long exposure shots or a self portrait. I have another lightweight tripod that will now be sold because, although it too weighs about 1kg it's even more flimsy. I think the, sort of, oval leg sections help and the reversing centre column is, to my knowledge, unheard of in this class of tripod. This one also has a QR plate (which my other one doesn't) and is very useful. It seems to be very well made and very well finished.
