I use my Manfrotto MN233B Camera Flash Bracket with a Nissin SC-01 Universal TTL Off-Camera Shoe Cord to enable me to use my flashguns away from my camera body to both reduce the possibility of red eye and increase the stability of my camera. While I agree with Gnasher that the lack of instructions means that you may spend some time figuring out the best way of using the bracket I do not think that it took me long to do it. This bracket looks and feels much better than the cheaper, more basic models that I have used and is of course much more adaptable than those.

I use mine as an aid to macro work, with a small ball and socket head on the screw thread and a flash gun on top I can put the light exactly where I want it by extending the flash gun away from the camera and rotating it round, making it an incredibly versatile piece of kit.

This adaptor extends the flash's distance from the lens (and this is all good) - it has a good height, is telescopic, of very good construction and is well worth the money.....but - it does increase the weight of your camera a lot (leverage laws) and please do not make the same mistake I did of which I thought it did not have the correct screw point for my flash and I purchased another screw (no need as the screw in there is reversable - just tap it a few times upside down for it to drop out). Excellent product.

This sturdy flash bracket is a potentially useful piece of kit when you want to put some distance between the camera and the flash. However, it doesn't come with any instructions... so working out how to use it involves a lot of guesswork. A tilting head would make the bracket more useful for macro work.
