Compact binoculars offer an excellent light-weight compromise if you just want something to pack in a ruck sack, leave in the car glove box or for casual general observation. While they cannot offer the optical quality of a 'full-size' pair, they still perform very well in all but the poorest of light conditions. Following the success of the full-size 'BV' binoculars Minox have extended the 'BV' range with 8x25BV-W and 10x25 BV-W compact versions which include many of the quality and build features found in the full-size versions. With full waterproofing to 3m, a sturdy aluminium body, twist up eyecups, large focus wheel and new-design rubber armouring. They focus down to 1.5m, weigh just 260g and measure just 109mm x 98mm x 39mm at their full extension. The right eye diopter can be adjusted to +/- 3dpt and both pairs have a 15.5mm eye relief.
