Would like to get a Macro lens but would much prefer one of 100mm to give extra working distance between subject and front of lens, a big advantage for potentially shy subjects such as butterflies. Come on Panasonic, how about it?

Having been an Olympus fan and user since my first E10 then E500, had debated for along time about whether I had a need for a prime lens. Thought that the standard zooms that I had would do the job. Boy, was I wrong. For the price and size, this is a superb lens. For flora and particularly insects, this lens has produced great results every time. Haven't put it to full use on portraits as yet but the few I have show great results also. Money well spend and pleasure to work with.

An excellent buy, competitive price, good service & fast standard delivery. Lens gives impeachable definition over the entire image area, the 1:1 macro is excellent quality, also makes a high quality portrait lens. Light and well made. Shame Olympus & other manufacturers don't provide more consumer priced fixed focal length lenses like this. 17mm (equivalent to 35mm on a film camera) would be nice for landscapes.

Having debated whether to buy a macro lens for ages, saw one at Warehouse Express and took the plunge. It has been a great success and very easy to use both for close up and general photos. I am not an experience photographer, but still found my photos have benefitted from using this macro lens.

As I do a fair amount of product and portrait photography and my all round lens packed up, I needed one sharp, fairly fast replacement lens to fill the gap - and quickly. This was it. Good price and prompt delivery meant I could get on with work without delay. Well done Warehouse Express.

Although this lens is built to a specific cost, and looks fairly insignificant when fitted to an E-1, it nonetheless performs to a high standard and gives true macro compared with the 50mm f2, which costs considerably more.

The deeply recessed lens optics also means that you do not need a lens hood but my advice is to use one unless working very close, in which case it might get in the way.

Overall a smashing lens for the money.
