Covering field of view to 600mm (35mm equivalent), this high mobility super-telephoto zoom lens weighs only 620 grams, yet incorporates three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements to offer sharper, higher-contrast imaging performance. 1x magnification (35mm equivalent) tele-macro photography is also possible. This lens offers a 4.3x zoom range, with an equivalent range of 140-600mm on a 35mm film camera. It is compatible with all cameras that share the Four Thirds System format.

Four Third's Must Have
By Biker Pete
I tried this lens at a camera show , and bought it on the spot.I use this lens a lot. It is great for close up work, people shots , birds an almost anything else. In low light , I sometimes have to switch to manual focus as this is its only weak point

Having used a 600mm mirror lens on my old 35mm SLR, this lens can only be described as stunning. Sharpness is perhaps not "pin sharp" but being able to take handheld wild life photos that are far superior to any I might have taken with 35mm outweighs any doubts! Go for it - you won't be disappointed!

This is a fantastic lens.I am impressed with the sharpness of most of the images. It is not very good at auto focus in low light. It has not been off my e520 for three weeks.

Great lens, great price.

Since reading reviews on its introduction, I have wanted this lens. Since using it, I have confirmed the truth of the reviews. Since I took up photography some thirty five years ago I have never been so pleased with a purchase. Call me smug. I deserev it.

Value for money
This lens gives you great reach for little money. It handles well, and is easy to operate. It has a neat ability to do macro shooting with 1:2 magnification. Results are surprisingly good in good lighting.Expect to spend some time to learn the ways of this lens. It can be tricky to make it yield good results right away.Do not expect tack sharp images from this lens. But be thankful that is has good reach with fair performance for less money. If you cannot afford the 55-200mm then this is a good alternative.
