The lens features Nano Surface Coating technology which minimises light reflection and ensures superb clear images with dramatic reduction of ghost and flare. Incorporated in the lens is Panasonic's Power O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser), which makes it easy to shoot super sharp shots even in low light conditions by supressing blur caused by hand shake. This lens handles beautifully, and is SO much sharper than the 14-42 kit lens with my G3. Using it is a pleasure, though of course it is heavier (and more expensive!) than the kit lens. Having a fixed F/2.8 opens up so much.
