Please note.The effective focal length of the lens in use is doubled (if a 50mm lens is used, the focal length will be equivalent to that of a 100mm lens). In addition, depending on the lens in use, actual focal range may slightly differ from that displayed on the lens. Please do not use lenses that doesn't contact the protective cover or protrude into the camera body.

The ability to use my leica lenses was one of the prime consideration I chose the Pansonic GF1. There are other generic mounts on the market but this mount is well engineered and when you are fitting expensive lenses damaging the mount on the lens would be catastrophic. but remember the focal length is doubled when use 35mm lenses on a 4/3 format camera.
