A fast and quite compact lens, at least compared to the excellent but clumsy Pentax FA* 2.8/28-70mmAL, I used up to now. Although the first reviews in photo magazines were somehow mixed, I finally gave it try and I don't regret it..
Sharp and brilliant pictures throughout the range at optimum aperture (f5.6-f8.0) but f2.8 is quite usable too.
Only flaw: Distortion at wide could be better controlled and can be an issue in critical situations.
