The Pentax 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED WR weather resistant lens features a newly designed, simplified weather-resistant construction, that offers excellent reliability even in rain, fog and mist. This telephoto zoom lens covers focal lengths from 76.5mm moderate telephoto to 307mm super telephoto (in the 35mm format). Incorporating an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass optical element in its optics, the Pentax 50-200mm F4-5.6 assures excellent description of the subject in various telephoto applications, including portraiture, sports/action and landscape, while effectively compensating chromatic aberration over the entire zoom range. The new zoom lens features a simplified weather-resistant construction designed to minimize the intrusion of water and moisture into the lens barrel.

i use the previous lens to this one 50-200 DA (which is the same apart from the weatherproofing)on a pentax K100 along with the 14-55 DA lens which comes as standard with the camera i find both these DA lenses excellent for there quality optics and fine handling and very good image quality in a variety of situations.

I always like it when I buy something that does what it says it will do. This lens does just that I own a Samsung GX20 and it works perfectly on this camera.
