The Polaroid cameras are back! The Polaroid Z340 Instant Camera is a digital camera combined with the classic Polaroid instant printing experience. With onboard editing and viewing options makes it easier than ever to snap, print and share. The Z340 is a 14 million pixel camera that features an ISO of 100-6400, 4x digital zoom, VGA Movie mode with sound, a 2.7” Vari-Angle LCD screen, and an instant print unit which can produce 3x4 prints, around a minute per print. The printer uses Zink paper which is built up of three layers of specially designed crystals that are activated and coloured by heat. With 400 million heat pulses, the Zink paper transforms into a high quality, full colour photograph in a matter of seconds. Once printed, the Zink photos are water resistant, smudge proof and tear proof. The modes available include Auto, Program, Intelligent Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Sunset, Backlighting, plus more, including a number of digital filters.

Bought this as a present for my mums 80th birthday so had to be simple enough to use. I didn't expect brilliant photos, but got to say that it takes really good images. We used it a lot and alongside other compact cameras its great.It starts up really fast and is just ready to take a photo. It's all about auto settings, just point and shoot - tbh I found going any further into the menus a bit confusing. Very reliable, does the right thing with auto flash (which is unusual for a compact camera as I find they usually burn shots out).Printing is very easy which is what I wanted it for and the prints from the built in printer are very good quality.Probably the only downside and the reason I didn't give it full five stars is that loading paper can be fiddly, you have to get it in just right or it ends up dragging two through at once. Its loads of fun, quite bulky so I can't see it being much good for travelling, but for parties, home stuff its brilliant fun and works really well. The images look really good on computer once you import them from the camera / card so no complaints. Fair to say its not a [$] camera, its a basic camera that does the job with a decent printer attached (good value for money, just stating the obvious that all the money didn't go on the camera itself - so don't expect that).[...]
