About Me Semi-pro Photographer
As semi pro, I don't want to think about my cards working, just that they do. So, like most serious snappers, Sandisk remain the best and ultimate. But, they're expensive, right? Sure, but so is having one that either won't work properly, gets corrupted and loses images and of course the worry of all those things.I took on holiday my Nikon D700 and had intended to take a few cards to share the 1000 images that I took then, on. Except, I forgot them, but had this one, my newly acquired Sandisk 32 gigger already in the camera and with a sigh of relief, I then had no worries about either the card's performance, nor its capacity. Able to hold over 1100 RAWs + basic jpegs on my full-frame, large file D700, this might be the ultimate card and whilst not the fastest, it's only bettered by the marginally faster but much more pricey 90mbs version. Most DSLRs, especially normal DX format ones will be able to store many more pictures on this card than my D700 can.For videos from cameras taking CF cards, I guess that 32gb is pretty well standard size these days and so would be a good choice for that, too.
