I've been putting off buying these due to their price. That was until my retoucher pointed out how much of her time (...& my money) was spent on dealing with dust on images. A few swabs were needed for the first clean as mentioned in other reviews. However, I found that regular cleans with the Giottos Rocket Air Blower removes most obvious dust & reduces the number of swab cleans.

Well packed, very expensive for what they are, they do the job but take care - it takes a few swabs to get the action right and actually clean the 'sensor' rather than just wipe above its surface as the sides catch in the sensor housing. After use - I unwrapped the cleaning cloth and cleaned the lens elements with the inside face - just to get my moneys worth!
It took 8 swabs to clean my D3 sensor of the original 'greese' nikon applied ! I never got rid of all the dust bunnies though -

I like this product and prefer it to the lenspen system. This system allows for equal, distributed pressure on your sensor and an even reflection pattern once you're done - while I don't think this has much of an effect on the physical properties of light, it does have a psychological one to me :)

For a bit of lint free cloth on a stick they are very expensive though. You can use 2 or 3 in a single cleaning since you are not supposed to reuse the same swab twice, but generally I have not had that much of a problem.
