This lens has not left my camera since the day I got it. It's totaly amazing.

So far I've used it for a few car shots and loads of landscapes and all have turned out amazing!

Several years I spend taking photographs with the focus on macro and wildlife. To increase my experience I decided to focus in 2009 on wide angle photography. After reading many reviews I decided to purchase the Sigma 10-20 mm F4-5.6 EX DC lens for my Sony A700.
The purchase from Warehouse Express went very smoothly and soon I got my new lens. The first impression was very good. If feels solid, well made in one word professional. The pictures I took so far impressed me with their clarity and colour intensity I haven't experienced from my other lenses. Wide angle photography is an exciting experience and the Sigma 10-20 is certainly a very good tool for this. Can I recommend it for other users - yes certainly I can.

The Sigma 10 - 20 mm F4.0 - F5.6 EX DC HSM is a well-built super wide-angle lens. On a DSLR with a crop factor of 1.5 it translates into 15-30 mm, which is still very great for indoor, landscape and architectural photography. It makes a big difference compared to most kit-lenses starting at 18 mm (crop equivalent 27 mm) and opens up a whole new area of your photography.

The lens features high spec technology, such as Sigma's HSM (HyperSonic Motor) which provides high speed silent focusing with manual focus override. Also, Sigma uses three SLD glass elements in order to avoid color aberration and distortion.

In practice, this compact lens with a size of 83x81mm and a weight of around 500g features a 77 mm filter thread with an internal focusing system meaning you can easily use a petal-type hood or a polarizer. The AF drive is working smoothly and quickly enough. Generally, I am very impressed with the build quality of the lens. When using large apertures the lens tends to show some vignetting, thus you will achieve best results at around f/8. Overall, I am very happy with this lens, I have been using it for 1 year now and I can say that I use this lens the most.

Overall, this lens is great value for money.
