Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3 DG HSM Lens - SLD Glass
Three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements help correct chromatic aberration. This lens' rear focus system minimises fluctuation of aberration caused by focusing. The super multi-layer lens coating reduces flare and ghosting, resulting in great images, throught the zoom range.

This lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), which ensures a quiet and high-speed AF as well as full-time manual focusing capability.

Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3 DG HSM Lens - Compatible with Sigma APO Tele Converters
Adding (optional) 1.4x EX DG APO or 2x EX DG APO Tele Converters produce a 210-700mm F7-8.8 MF ultra-telephoto zoom lens or a 300-1000mm F10-12.6 MF ultra-telephoto zoom lens respectively. A removable tripod collar (TS-31) is included as standard.

Purchased this lens specificaly for Airshows,[...] Have since used it at a couple of airshows and done some wild bird photography, I must say this lens is now the bargain of the century, results are excellant. Opened up the image is sharp and the bokeh is good, stopped down the image is superb for a zoom lens of such a wide range.

I have used this lens a few times for wildlife shots which have been great. Recently, I went to an airshow, WOW the results were fantastic, although there were a couple of occasions when the autofocus could not catch up with the fast jets.

I have taken some of my best ever shots with this lens, even handheld the shots are sharp, just build up your biceps if you intend to hand hold for long periods.
I use a Sony Alpha 350
