I use this with a sigma 70-200 mm f2.8 lens which by itself is super sharp. The reach with the 2x tc is welcome but there is some inevitable loss of ultimate sharpness with the teleconverter. Some tweaks in light room work wonders. OK a £6000 prime lens would give better results but if you don't pixel peep and don't blow images up to the size of a small house then for the price you will not be disappointed

no great shakes but no real faults either.bought with 70-200 lens and a good combination.

Save weight and cost of extra big lense. Perhaps not for the purist but this amateur is more than happy

this converter is a good piece of kit as a cheap alternative to buying a long lens, however; users must be aware of the limitations, ie drop of 2 stops of light, and the auto focus mode will only work with certain lenses.
