The Sony E35mm f1.8 OSS Lens has been designed for Sony’s smaller compact system E mount cameras and is well suited for portraits and general photography, especially in low light. The f1.8 maximum aperture brings the subject in sharp focus whilst creating a soft, natural blur effect for the background. The Optical SteadyShot (OSS) image stabilisation within the lens delivers crisper, clearer handheld shooting at all zoom settings.

Comments about Sony E35mm f1.8 OSS Lens:
What a super little lens this is! Sharp as a tack and well made. It has a quality feel to it and the images do not disappoint. I used this lens on the NEX 7 to photograph a veterans parade and the results are amazing. On images containing several people and a couple of vehicles, the serial numbers on handguns are razor sharp! I have not had this off the NEX 7 since I first used it. It is now my standard lens for that camera.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

At last a perfect lens for the sony nex
About Me Hobbyist/Enthusiast
This is now my favourite lens for my sony nex cameras (both 5n and 7). It is a great low light lens, sharp and quick to focus with lovely smooth bokeh in shallow depth of field shots. It was hard to justify the purchase having already bought the 50mm e-mount offering but I am glad I did. 35mm is a much more usable length on APS-C sensor cameras in my opinion and was on my camera for 90% of the time during a recent trip to the Caribbean.
Hasn't left my NEX7 since I bought it...
About Me Casual user
This reliable little lens is such a gem! I did take the plunge with this one, as at the time there were very few reviews and photos that I could use to see exactly what quality I would get.Having bought it primarily for low light street photography, I'm over the moon with the OSS and the results I'm getting from it. Very stable results, even on handheld lowlight, which is great as it means no tripod to carry around town. Video also looks very polished and very little to no noise, depending on what mode/settings you are using.I would recommend it, although I do think the price is a bit much... But if you like it, why not? :)
